Job Title: Associate Manager – Structure Cell, Technical Services

Department: Engineering – Technical Services
Location: Gurugram, HO
Reporting To: Chief Manager – Technical Services

 

Role Overview:

The Associate Manager – Structure Cell will be responsible for structural damage assessment, repair evaluation, and coordination with OEMs for development and approval of repairs beyond standard manuals. The role demands a strong technical foundation in aircraft structures, with hands-on experience in repair management tools, regulatory liaisoning, and structural integrity monitoring.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structural Damage Assessment:
    Evaluate structural damages on Airbus, Boeing, or equivalent aircraft types using SRM and OEM documentation.
  • Repair Management:
    Utilize Boeing Communication System (BCS) and Airbus Technical Request (TR) systems for repair evaluation, documentation, and tracking.
  • Out-of-SRM Repair Development:
    Coordinate with OEMs for development and approval of non-standard repairs, ensuring compliance with airworthiness requirements.
  • Nacelle Damage Evaluation:
    Assess and manage nacelle-related damages and repairs, including thrust reversers, fan cowls, and inlet cowls.
  • Planning of Repairs with Maintenance:

To have efficient tracking and coordination with Line and Base maintenance teams for planning and executing pending / planned repairs.

  • Dent & Buckle Chart Management:
    Maintain and update dent and buckle charts for fleet aircraft, ensuring accurate tracking and timely review of structural anomalies.
  • Repair Review & Classification:
    Review completed repairs for compliance with approved data and classify repairs as major or minor per OEM and regulatory guidelines.
  • Regulatory Liaisoning:
    Interface with DGCA for major repair approvals, ensuring timely submission and adherence to regulatory protocols.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports, repair schemes, and correspondence with OEMs and regulatory bodies.

 

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Experience:
    Minimum 5 years in aircraft maintenance or technical services domain, with a focus on structural repairs.
  • Technical Background:
    Strong foundation in aircraft structures; candidates with B1 license background and relevant modules will be preferred.
  • Skills & Tools:
    Proficiency in SRM interpretation, Boeing Communication System (BCS), Airbus TR system, dent & buckle chart management, and repair documentation tools.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:
    Familiarity with DGCA procedures for major repair approvals and airworthiness compliance.
  • Communication:
    Strong technical writing and communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams, OEMs, and regulatory authorities.

 

Desirable Attributes:

  • OEM training or certifications in structural repair assessment
  • Exposure to composite and metallic structure repairs
  • Experience in airline or MRO technical services environment
