A.    Job Purpose:

Lead and drive strategic Greenfield Project such as MRO with key partners to bring about operational excellence, capability development and cost improvement for Air India.
Lead the review of engineering costs and structure to find opportunities for process enhancements, cost optimization and strengthen governance.
Support the PMO office in architecting and executing transformation initiatives across four core pillars:
•    Transformation Cell
•    Safety & Compliance
•    Resilience & Reliability
•    Cost Leadership
Oversee credit worth millions of dollars, ensuring robust governance and financial discipline.
Ensure all programs meet global benchmarks and are positioned for supporting Air India’s long-term operational excellence and financial sustainability.

B.    Key Accountabilities:

Transformation Cell
•    Establish and lead a dedicated transformation cell to drive cross-functional change, process integration, and project management rigor.
•    Embed structured PMO frameworks for prioritization, protection, and tracking of strategic projects (e.g., EIS readiness, Greenfield infrastructure, Path to Profitability).
•    Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.

Safety & Compliance
•    Standardize and reinforce controls, policies, and best practices to ensure regulatory compliance and operational safety across all MRO functions.
•    Liaise with regulatory authorities and external consultants to maintain readiness and secure necessary approvals.
•    Implement robust audit and reporting mechanisms to monitor compliance and safety KPIs.

Resilience & Reliability
•    Build resilient operational processes and talent pipelines to ensure business continuity and reliability.
•    Develop and sustain leadership succession plans and targeted development programs.
•    Integrate global industry benchmarks to enhance reliability and achieve operational excellence.

Cost Leadership
•    Drive strategic cost optimization initiatives leveraging advanced analytics, digital dashboards, and global best practices to achieve CASK improvements and ROI targets.
•    Leverage digital dashboards and analytics for performance monitoring and cost discipline.
•    Identify and execute external value-creation opportunities (e.g., MRO partnerships, training services).

Governance & Reporting
•    Define and monitor transformation KPIs, develop digital dashboards, and drive regular governance reviews. 
•    Work with key stakeholders to develop business case for project implementation. 
•    Lead governance reviews with executive leadership and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with corporate objectives.

Stakeholder Management
•    Serve as liaison between PMO, BU transformation leads, Finance, HR, IT, and external partners to resolve execution roadblocks and maintain project momentum. 
•    Facilitate stakeholder alignment and communication plans.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

A.    Job Purpose

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Associate to join our team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will support towards various data collection, MIS function, engineering costing and analysis & other related jobs. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and a sound understanding of the aviation industry.

B.    Key Accountabilities
•    Collect, process, and manage data of engineering manpower, man-hours, materials, and work orders for aircraft maintenance.
•    Prepare and submit reports on regular basis for management review and compliance.
•    Maintain documentation of maintenance cost, different vendor billings.
•    Ensure process control with deviation reports, wherever required
•    Support resource allocation and technical coordination across different teams.
•    Retrieval of different data from AMOS for analysis purposes.

C.    Skills/Qualities Required

•    Proficiency in advanced MS Excel, MIS reporting and presentation of complex datasets.
•    Expertise in database management, documentation, and analytical skills for process improvements.
•    Experience using financial or aviation ERP systems (RAMCO, AMOS, etc.) is advantageous.
•    Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets.

 

 

 

D.    Key Performance Indicators

•    Achieving 99% data accuracy in MIS report submissions.
•    Improvement in reporting efficiency and reduction in billing discrepancies.
•    Timely delivery of deviation reports and compliance documentation.


E.    Key Interfaces

Internal Interfaces
Engineering Department    •    Close interaction with the different Engineering sections is essential for data collection and ensuring accurate data reporting aligned with Engineering activities.
Finance Department    •    Collaboration with the Engineering Finance 


F.    Educational and Experience Requirements

•    Minimum – Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Business Administration / Computer Application or a closely related field, with minimum 5 years relevant experience, preferably in aviation or engineering industry or Industrial Engg. department.
•    Desired – 
o    Master’s degree in Operation Management or related fields preferred. 
o    Experience with financial software systems and tools, such as AMOS or other ERP systems, is advantageous.
o    Demonstrated experience in managing and analyzing large datasets
