A. Job Purpose
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and repair of aircraft engines and other powerplant components.
B. Key Accountabilities
Powerplant Engineer
• Conduct inspections and tests of aircraft engines and powerplant components.
• Implement maintenance procedures for aircraft engines and powerplant components, including routine inspections, repairs, and overhauls.
• Collaborate with other engineers to design and develop new powerplant components or modify existing ones to improve performance or meet new regulations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and specifications for powerplant systems.
• Analyze data from engine test runs and other performance tests to identify trends and potential issues.
• Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel, pilots, and other stakeholders on powerplant-related issues.
• Participate in investigations of accidents or incidents involving aircraft engines or powerplant systems to identify the root cause and recommend corrective actions.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies, materials, and processes related to aircraft engines and powerplant systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Internal Interfaces
Engineering Teams • Work collaboratively with other aircraft maintenance engineers, pilots, and other personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft.
External Interfaces
OEMs/Suppliers/Regulatory Authorities • Ensure coordination with applicable regulatory authorities, suppliers, and OEMs.
F. Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education requirements • Diploma In Aircraft maintenance engineering, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aviation Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Minimum Desired
• 2 years relevant work experience in an aviation industry. • 2 years relevant work experience in an aviation industry.
• Experience in aircraft engine maintenance, repair, or overhaul.
