  1. Job Purpose

 

  • Oversee and ensure the smooth execution of aircraft unscheduled maintenance operations. This includes monitoring the progress of maintenance tasks, coordinating with maintenance crews, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the process.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards, thereby contributing to the overall safety and reliability of the aircraft fleet.
 
   
 

 

  1. Key Accountabilities

 

Culinary Design Evangelism

  • Monitoring Technical Status of Fleet using AHM, SHM, AMOS and other Tools.
  • Monitor real-time aircraft maintenance activities and ensure adherence to schedules and procedures.
  • Coordinate with maintenance crews, engineering teams, IOCC and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless execution of maintenance tasks with minimal impact to scheduled flights.
  • Respond promptly to any deviations, incidents or operational interruptions, implementing necessary adjustments to minimize disruptions to operations.
  • Maintains constant surveillance of overall network stations activity. Intervenes immediately in case of any potential service disruption.
  • Liaises with the concerned departments to provide necessary resources/clearances to minimized downtime of aircraft. Liaise with Manager IOCC and Manager Planning to ensure proper utilization of aircraft and to avoid delays. Schedule tail numbers to be at the proper location to accomplish required checks and maintenance.

 

 
   
 

 

 

         Deputize as MCC Controller as and when required

  • Coordinate AOG recovery by arranging all the necessary resources such as regulatory approvals, spares, men, materials and repair scheme in coordination with various stake holders and external MROs.
  • Monitoring of all critical MEL/CDL open defects and initiate action for timely rectification. Keep IOCC and stakeholders posted on a real time basis for any MEL/CDL invoking/revoking.
  • Inform C.T.O., Quality manager, Line Maintenance Manager , Head of MCC, MCC Duty Manager, Regional line maintenance managers, location managers and others as decided by MCC Manager via SMS / telephone in case of AOG, incidents and take necessary actions to minimize delays and expedite snag rectification.

  Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to maintenance personnel on complex engineering issues or challenges.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft systems, components, and equipment malfunctions to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop and implement long-term corrective actions for recurring technical issues.
  • Maintain fleet standard to meet special operation requirements such as EDTO, Polar operation, Pacific operation, etc. In case of any defect which can affect such operation, immediate coordination with IOCC is required.
  • Liaise with OEMs , Defect Cell and Technical Service for technical issues & NTO [No Technical Objection].
  • Conducting Technical meetings to plan seamless execution of MCC originated tasks.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulatory requirements, manufacturer's recommendations, and company policies in all maintenance activities.
  • Conduct checks and inspections of maintenance processes and documentation to verify adherence to standards and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory updates and industry best practices, incorporating changes into maintenance protocols as necessary.
  • Deputize as MCC Controller as and when required by Management.
  • Any other function considered necessary and assigned by the management.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate reports and presentations summarizing maintenance activities, performance metrics, and key findings for management review.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize maintenance scheduling, resource allocation, and decision-making processes.
  • Liaise with all stations to ensure that all technical delays and incidents are reported to Engineering Quality under the company policy and regulatory requirements in an approved manner.

Training and Development

  • Develop and deliver training programs for maintenance personnel to enhance technical skills, procedural knowledge, and safety awareness.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development.

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

  • Take measures to ensure safety and improve Technical dispatch reliability.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations for maintenance-related incidents or discrepancies, driving corrective and preventive actions.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource utilization within the maintenance control center.

Emergency Response Assistance

  • Support the MCC Duty Manager and MCC Controller in implementing emergency response procedures.
  • Act as a backup point of contact during aircraft maintenance emergencies when necessary.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

  1. Educational and Experience Requirements

 

Minimum Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+2 (PCM) or Equivalent
  • Type Rating on fleet aircraft.
  • AIRMAN & AHM Training
