Job Description:

As an Aircraft Structural Engineer, you will supervise staff in aircraft and workshop environments, ensuring all structural repairs, modifications, and rectifications comply with approved documentation and safety standards. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards and certifications according to company authorizations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee repair, rectification, and modification work in accordance with approved documentation, ensuring compliance with the latest technical publications.
- Ensure availability of resources and manpower to meet business needs and project milestones.
- Monitor activities and personnel to ensure adherence to safety regulations and company procedures, addressing any deficiencies proactively.
- Establish effective communication with management and team members to identify and address operational disruptions.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents and accidents, analysing elements leading to events.
- Conduct performance reviews for your team, implementing action plans for deficiencies, and mentoring junior staff and trainees.
- Attend training modules to enhance relevant skills and contribute to the business.
- Ensure the accurate recording of structural inspections, defects, and repairs to maintain aircraft records.

Qualifications:
Education: - Degree/ Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent qualifications (Mechanical/Avionics/Electronics/Tech Engineering) / Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License OR have passed relevant CAR 66 Modules.
Experience: 
 - Minimum of 5 years in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
-Shop Maintenance/Task Training 
 - At least 2 years as certifying staff in relevant areas (aircraft/shop) as a structure certifying / support staff.
- One year experience in case of CAR 66 Licence holder
- OR/ Must have CAR 66 Modules 3,6,7,8,9,10 and 11A with 02 years of actual maintenance within the workshop environment.
- Manufacturer’s docs and procedures training- 
 - DGCA Form 1 certification experience in Structures/Cabin Shops.
Knowledge/Skills: 
 - Expertise in sheet metal and composite repairs on aircraft and/ or aircraft components in an airline or MRO. 
 - Completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent formal training. 
 - Full company authorizations for sheet metal and composite repairs relevant to the Air India fleet. 
 - Minimum seven years of aircraft engineering experience, including two years as an authorization holder in the structure repair category. 
 - Leadership experience with mechanics/technicians. 
 - Strong understanding of airline workshop procedures and international standards of aircraft operation and maintenance. 
 - Familiarity with air legislation and legal matters related to aircraft safety.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred): 
 - Knowledge in programming CNC and manual machining operations (lathe, milling, drilling). 
 - Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA V5) and ability to produce CAD drawings. 
 - Experience in electroplating methods (anodizing, cadmium plating).
