  1. Key Accountabilities 

     Production Planning 

Manager-Procurement (Commercial/ Non-Aircraft) is responsible for: 

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for both non-aircraft and commercial categories. 

  • Align procurement goals with organizational objectives, focusing on cost optimization, supplier innovation, and risk mitigation. 

  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals across technical and commercial categories. 

  • Establish performance metrics and drive continuous improvement. 

  • Partner with internal departments (engineering, maintenance, administration, finance) to understand procurement needs and priorities. 

  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors. 

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, industry standards, and legal regulations. 

  • Promote ethical sourcing and sustainability practices. 

  • Manage procurement budgets and deliver measurable cost savings. 

  • Oversee commercial procurement including vendor contracts for services such as facility management, IT services, travel, and office supplies. 

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes for non-aircraft and commercial materials. 

  • Ensure timely sourcing, ordering, and delivery to support operational and administrative functions. 

 

  • Identify and onboard suppliers for both technical and commercial categories. 

  • Negotiate and manage contracts, SLAs, and pricing agreements. 

  • Work with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels. 

  • Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules for commercial and operational supplies. 

  • Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for procurement planning, tracking, and reporting. 

  • Implement digital procurement tools to enhance efficiency and transparency

  • Track cost savings, supplier reliability, team productivity, and internal satisfaction with procurement services.

  • Monitor procurement cycle time, on-time delivery rate, purchase order accuracy, and inventory turnover ratio. 

Commercial Procurement 

  • Measure contract compliance, vendor SLA adherence, and spend under management in procurement processes. 

Financial & Risk 

  • Compare budget adherence, cost avoidance, and risk mitigation in procurement strategies. 

Technology & Process 

  • Measure ERP utilization and digital procurement adoption in procurement activities. 

    

 

 

 

   E. Key Interfaces 

Internal Interfaces 

Inter Department 

  • Collaborate to align procurement strategies with aircraft maintenance schedules and technical requirements. 

  • Coordinate on budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting related to procurement activities. 

  • Work closely to manage inventory, delivery timelines, and storage of aircraft parts. 

External Interfaces 

Regulatory Authority 

  • Ensure procurement practices comply with aviation regulations and support documentation for audits and certifications. 

Airlines/ Customer Representative 

  • Engage with OEMs and approved vendors for sourcing and long-term partnerships, coordinate with third-party logistics providers for timely and compliant delivery of aircraft parts, and liaise with customer airline representatives for part approvals, delivery milestones, and service level agreements. 

 

   F. Educational and Experience Requirements 

Minimum Education requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • Master’s Degree (Preferred) - MBA or a Master’s in Supply Chain/Procurement. 

 

 

 

Experience 

Minimum 

Desired 

  • 8-10 Years in Procurement or Supply Chain. 

  • ERP & Procurement Tools Proficiency – Familiarity with systems like SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa, or Jaggaer.
