  • Perform routine cabin maintenance, minor repairs, and   appearance improvements including seats, furnishings, carpets, vinyl, and interior panels. Focused on carpet fabrication, vinyl replacement and NTF fabrication.
  • Evaluating the condition of the upholstery, seats, and interiors of the aircraft.
  • Removing and replacing upholstery as required, ensuring it matches the aircraft interior
  • Repairing or replacing damaged or worn-out upholstery, including seats, carpets, curtains, and other aircraft interior elements
  • Stitching, sewing, and fitting the upholstery using appropriate tools
  • Working closely with materials such as leather, vinyl, and fabric, selecting appropriate ones for different aircraft types
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work area, tools, and equipment
  • Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards, following aviation regulations
  • Communicating with aircraft Cabin maintenanc crew to understand specific requirements
  • Lead upholster will be reaponsible for overlooking all the shop activities related to stitching,fabrication of carpets/ntf,vinyl replacements,other cosmetic jobs related to panels and also will be reponsible for carpet/ntf installation on aircraft in coordination with cabin check incharge.
  • Perform scheduled inspection, preventive maintenance and defect rectification of aircraft cabin interiors including seats, armrests, seat tracks, tray tables, carpeting, overhead bins and panels, ensuring compliance with manufacturer service bulletins and regulatory airworthiness requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks on cabin equipment and fixtures in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
  • Service, test and repair galley equipment and fixtures (oven units, coffee makers, chilled compartments, latches)
  • Remove, install and repair complete seating assemblies and seat components during heavy maintenance checks
  • Diagnose,replace and repair lavatory systems including waste and water lines, valves, seals, pumps, and indicator systems; perform leak detection and pressure checks following maintenance manuals.
  • Inspect, maintain and certify emergency equipment including life vests, life rafts, evacuation slides, slide pack servicing and installation, and ensure all placarding, seals and dates meet regulatory requirements.
  • Work with logistics, ground services, and cabin appearance teams to maintain high standards.
  • Use technical publications, illustrated parts catalogs (IPC), structural repair manuals (SRM) and maintenance planning documents to determine correct procedures, parts and torque values.
  • Maintain compliance with company tool control, jigs and fixture procedures; ensure torque wrenches and calibrated tools are inspected and within calibration interval.
