Job Description
- Drive the meticulous management of technical records throughout the aircraft lifecycle, ensuring seamless induction, maintenance, and redelivery processes through effective team leadership and coordination.
- Spearhead comprehensive material and component planning initiatives to optimize inventory levels, minimize downtime, and support efficient aircraft operations, leveraging a proactive approach to team oversight and strategic decision-making.
Long Description
Strategic Oversight of Technical Records and Component Planning
- Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the accurate and comprehensive management of technical records throughout the aircraft lifecycle, aligning with DGCA regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the planning and execution of component, coordinate with Procurement team for optimizing inventory levels and ensuring timely availability to support aircraft maintenance and operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the tech records and component management functions, leveraging industry best practices and innovative solutions.
Team Leadership and Development
- Provide visionary leadership to the Tech Records and Component Planning teams, setting clear goals and priorities to achieve operational excellence and exceed performance indicators.

- Support the professional growth and development of team members through coaching, training, and mentorship initiatives, ensuring a high-performing and engaged workforce.
Operational Excellence in Record Management and Material (Component) Planning
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the company’s aircraft records and maintenance information, maintaining a records system that facilitates efficient search and retrieval.
- Oversee the upkeep of the company’s maintenance information database and tracking systems, ensuring compliance with DGCA regulations and lessors’ requirements.
- Optimize inventory levels and process improvements in material (component) planning, collaborating with key stakeholders to align operational activities with production plans and key performance indicators.
Regulatory Compliance and Audits
- Interact with regulatory authorities and lessors to provide all required documents and respond to queries, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and lease agreements.
- Establish and maintain systems to track and resolve discrepancies in aircraft maintenance records and work packages, conducting periodic audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Lead the preparation of all documents for ARC issuance and support the aircraft return to lease process, compiling required records and reports to facilitate seamless transitions.
Long Description
Continuous Improvement and Process Optimization
- Develop and implement new processes, procedures, and changes to existing workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in technical record-keeping and component planning.
- Collaborate with key business leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure operational alignment and support the achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
- Establish goals and objectives for the Tech Records and Component Planning teams, striving to exceed performance indicators and drive continuous improvement in operational performance.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
Long Description
- Engineering degree (aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionics) or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- Master’s degree is preferred.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in aviation maintenance, technical records management, component planning, or related field.
