  1. Job Purpose

 

  • Support Manager – Training for effective compliance of established Quality and Safety Management System for Engineering Training department to monitor compliance with training requirements of CAR 66 for grant of AME License, CAR 147, CAR-M, CAR 145 and other requirements as laid down in various approved manual/expositions of the organization respectively at the MRO.
  • Ensure delivery of comprehensive aircraft maintenance engineering training by creating engaging learning materials, conducting classroom sessions, and organizing practical training sessions, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Training Manager and Examination Manager to maintain updated course materials, incorporate technological advancements, and provide continuous feedback to enhance the learning experience and competency development of candidates joined at Air India..
  1. Key Accountabilities

 

  • Conduct scheduled courses according to the training plan, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Prepare comprehensive study materials including notes, diagrams, presentations, and handouts for relevant subjects.
  • Update training materials regularly with advancements in AMM, CMM, SBs, ADs, and other technical information and amendment in various organization’s manual.
  • Stay updated on curriculum changes based on manufacturer feedback, internal policy, and DGCA requirements.
  • Enforce discipline and punctuality among course participants, communicating and upholding organization rules and regulations.
  • Provide inputs for continuation training and collaborate with e-learning administrators for lesson preparation.
  • Maintain proficiency in aircraft maintenance knowledge and skills.

 

  • Ensure proper utilization and return of training aids.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the classroom at the end of each day.
  • Review and enhance course notes as required.
  • Organize and conduct practical aircraft training, including visits and simulator sessions if applicable.
  • Complete course records including attendance and feedback reports as per the Training Manager's requirements.
  • Collect feedback from participants and update the Training Manager on any discrepancies in training materials or facilities.
  • Promote the use of technology and innovations to enhance competence building among staff and students.
  • Ensure the organization complies with all relevant aviation regulations and standards.
  • Maintain the training records and develop the Training Needs of the engineering personnel
  • Fulfill other duties as required by relevant regulations and organizational needs.

 

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

  • AME Technician’s Qualification preferably holding AME License.

OR

  • Engineering Graduate (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Aeronautical)

OR

  • Previously holding similar position and having experience in imparting training as approved instructor.3 years of experience in training and examination activities with leading Indian/Global AME school

Or

5 Years of total experience in Aircraft maintenance and management.
