Job Description

Role Summary

• The Airport Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations and ensuring the efficient and safe handling of flights and passengers at small international airports with up to 4 daily departures at the airport.
• The Airport Manager will be the primary point of contact for airline staff, ground handling agents, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the airport.


Key Accountabilities

• Monitoring On-Time Performance (daily, weekly, and monthly) and keeping track of regulator-published data.
• Ensure all compliances are met as per company and regulatory requirements (IOSA, labor laws, other laws of the land).
• Ensure regular quality checks and audits are conducted for internal teams and GHAs for compliance and service delivery.
• Responsible for delivering consistent and exemplary service at every customer touchpoint in the airport.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and airport operators to obtain suitable space for ticketing/check-in and office space.
• Ensure operational readiness with IT equipment, GSE, and GHA in coordination with respective teams.
• Liaise with ground handling agents for smooth operations in line with SGHA and SLA.
• Coordinate with HR for timely recruitment and backfilling of budgeted positions at the airport.
• Coordinate with the training department for new hire training and refreshers for team members.
• Analyze cost-per-PAX trends and present budget trends periodically.
• Proactively identify potential gaps in current processes and continuously work toward system and service improvements.
• Review system requirements and budgeting with IT for airport expansion and ongoing special projects.
• Support implementation of various departmental projects and ensure timely execution.
• Simplify processes for teams and monitor processes. Identify system and training needs to automate manual processes for efficiency and efficacy within the airport environment.
• Delegate tasks to frontline leaders and follow up for prompt closure.
• Ensure and lead key roles with strong representation at AOCs and airport meetings.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue generation, and process improvements.
• Ensure airport readiness in emergency response planning to handle any situation effectively.

Additional Responsibilities:
