Position Title : Station Security Head
Function: Safety, Security and QMS
A.Job Purpose
Responsible for aviation security duties at the Airports in conformity with BCAS guidelines and local operating procedures; including access control, surveillance and patrolling, aircraft security, screening of baggage, catering, security, etc.
B.Key Accountabilities
Functional Activities
•Report to Regional Security Head of respective region on day-to-day basis.
•Be responsible for effective functioning of Station and all units in the station.
•Be responsible for administrative and functional control over the officers / staff working in Security department at the station.
•Ensure strict implementation of all laid down security procedures in terms of approved Security Program during normal and high alert situation to safeguard Air India flight operations.
•Be responsible for timely dissemination of Circulars / Orders, Instructions, and other Security information to all concerned on need-to-know basis.
•Ensure strict compliance of orders / guidelines / instructions received from HQs / RSH.
•Ensure that all Security personnel at the station are appropriately trained in AvSec, DGR, SMS, Fire, etc. and their refresher / recurrent training is valid.
•Ensure monthly communication meetings with officers / staff and ensure effective action is taken to improve their turnout, enhance efficiency, remove impediments, redress their grievances, and take such measures as would be necessary for better functioning of the Station.
•Ensure timely renewal of security contracts related to security arrangements of offices and establishments.
•Be responsible for timely processing of AEP applications of employees at the station along with the company ID Cards.
•Liaise with Law enforcement agencies and all stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and implementation of AvSec regulations at the station.
•Attend Airport Security Committee meeting and any other meeting pertaining to aviation security.
•Ensure regular implementation of Quality Control Measures at the station to check alertness of security personnel involve with the flight operations in close liaison with AI security audit cell as well as QMS (IOSA ).
•Be responsible for implementing preventive measures and investigating incidents of theft / pilferage reported at the station.
•Ensure serviceability, maintenance, and safe custody of Security equipment at the station viz. X-Ray machines, HHMDs, DFMDs, ETDs etc.
•Ensure provision of Security services to Clientele airlines as per handling agreements or as mutually agreed and maintenance of necessary records and timely submission of Billing forms pertaining to Security services provided to Clientele airlines and charter flights etc.
•Ensure Security arrangements for the VVIP charter flights in the station.
•Ensure proper maintenance of all prescribed records related to various security functions.
•Be responsible for prompt action during exigencies and emergencies related to airline operations like fire, Bomb Threat, unlawful interference, etc. and submission of reports.
•Perform incidental duties arising out of operational emergencies / exigencies.
•Ensure preparedness of station for the Audits / Inspections conducted by BCAS, IOSA or any other external agency and internal QCP / QMS / Flight Safety Audits and submit ATR in close liaison with AI Security Audit Cell.
•Be responsible for disposal of obsolete records, scrap items by following due process as per company policy.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Minimum - For small Station 2+ years of experience as Security Shift In-Charge or Security Supervisor
For Large, Major & Metro Station 2+ years of experience as Small Station security head or Shift In-charge
Desired - 9+ years of experience in Airport Security Operations is preferred
