QA Automation Engineer

OVERVIEW 

Reports to: Product Manager  

Location: Kochi, Gurgaon 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • You are responsible for the test planning, design, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive test plans/test cases to ensure deliverables meet business and functional requirements. 

  • You will provide strong technical leadership in Quality Assurance segments in the Omnichannel applications (Web, Mobile, Wearable etc) 

  • You need to continuously improve the test processes (RCA, Correction and Prevention) 

  • You will handle the test management - Effectiveness of test processes through White box, Grey box, Black box, automation etc 

  • You will provide test estimations and tooling recommendations. 

  • You will define end-to-end test strategy for the engagements and implement the same. 

  • You will define and deliver test suites for highly scalable and critical business applications. 

  • You need to have continuous focus and enablement on the automation quality assurance aspects 

  • You will lead the build and automate end-to-end test scenarios 

  • You will conduct continuous research on the testing tools / frameworks and provide the tool adoption recommendations 

  • You will oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices and developing new tools & processes to ensure quality goals are met. 

  • You will build a strong test automation  team 

  • You will define the quality standards and practices within the team 

  • You responsible to completely Own the quality aspect of the engagement. 

  • You responsible to Lead and mentor QA team members 

 

SKILLS 

Must Have: 

  • 2+ years Proven Experience as a QA engineer in a business-critical applications 

  • Experienced in handling test automation in web, mobile, tablets, wearable, cloud etc 

  • Expertise in test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, BrowserStack, Testim, Perfecto, Robotium, SeeTest, UI Automator etc 

  • Expertise in API testing using JUnit, Postman, SoapUI 

  • Experience in any one or more languages like JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, Shell scripting etc 

  • Good knowledge and experience in testing life cycle, test phases such as unit, integration, system, functional, non-functional, regression testing etc 

  • Hands-on experience designing test cases relevant to test phases and using test techniques relevant to the phases 

  • Exposure to Agile way of working . 

  • Experienced in test management using HP ALM / Zephyr / TestRail / Jira / etc 

  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
