  1. Job Purpose
  • Lead a team and direct the architectural design and strategic technology decisions, ensuring they align with business objectives while fostering innovation within the organization.
  1.  Key Accountabilities

Strategic Activities

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and leadership in architecting scalable, resilient, and future-proof digital solutions for the Air India's Salesforce and Software Ecosystem
  • Technology Innovation: Drive innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software architecture and engineering. Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies specifically Artificial Intelligence (AI) that enhance the Air India's digital capabilities and competitive advantage.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and UI/UX designers to ensure alignment of architectural decisions with business objectives and technical requirements across Service, Sales, Agentforce Data 360 and Experience Cloud.
  • Architectural Design and Governance: Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability across the Air India's Salesforce and Other software portfolio. Implement governance processes to review and approve architectural changes and ensure adherence to established standards.

Team Management

  • Lead a team of Team Leads, Developers and guide them to ensure their efforts align with overarching objectives. 
  • Act as a mentor to Salesforce development teams and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and technical trainings to foster continuous learning and skill development within the team.
  • Establish a clear direction for team, monitor performance, and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork, providing leadership to nurture team members' professional growth.
  • Facilitate talent development to position the team for long-term success.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

 

  1. Skills Required for the role

Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Data 360, Agentforce, Marketing, and Experience.

 

Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions

 

Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth) and Experience with platform security capabilities (TLS, SSL)

Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes

Strong background in design/development of large web-based systems, or complete software product lifecycle exposure

Understanding of key design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices

Product, Development & QA Teams

  • Engage with developers to ensure that the architectural design aligns with project requirements and technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with product managers to understand business objectives and translate them into architectural requirements.
  • Collaborate with QA testers to define testing strategies and ensure that the architectural design meets quality standards.

IT

  • Ensure that the architectural design supports deployment, monitoring, and maintenance requirements.

External Interfaces

  • Interface with third-party vendors for integration of external services, tools, or APIs into the architectural design.

 

  1. Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Experience

  • 6-10 years CRM experience with a minimum of 2 years on the Salesforce platform as an Architect
  • Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Data 360, Agentforce, Marketing, and Experience.
  • Certification in Salesforce related Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Platform Developer I and Agentforce.
  • Experience in building Agents in Salesforce, Proficiency in prompt Builder, Agent Builder Script

 

 

  • Application Architect and System Architect certification.
  • Functional Agentforce Agents built over the period of time.
