Job Purpose

  • Responsible for providing strategic leadership to cross-functional teams in the development, review, and alignment of departmental documentation with evolving organizational needs and objectives

Key Accountabilities - 

Technical Publications

  • Oversees the documentation lifecycle across functional areas, ensuring that manual updates initiated by SMEs and Department Document Controllers are reviewed and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Monitors version control practices to ensure accurate tracking of manual revisions and secure maintenance of source files.
  • Ensures adherence to technical documentation standards and coordinates with Internal and external vendors for the consistent publication of company manuals.
  • Ensure the changes in the publications are monitored for the conformance to the Group DMS standards and team members are properly briefed on any discrepancies observed.
  • Ensure the timely escalation of TechPub challenges to the documentation leadership team.
  • Reviews the quality and consistency of manual content across technical publications, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Ensure proper mitigation actions are in place for the proper functioning of TechPub department.
  • Tracks progress of documentation-related deliverables for key projects, ensuring timelines are met and risks are mitigated.
  • Reviews and validates status updates on manual revisions presented in governance forums, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Supports the DMS Manager by overseeing administrative functions and ensuring smooth operations within the Technical Publications Department.
  • Keeps abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, guiding the team in adopting relevant innovations.
  • Provides strategic oversight and functional guidance to Technical Publication Executives, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and performance standards.
  • Ensures audit readiness by monitoring the timely and accurate preparation of documentation required for internal and external audits.
  • Facilitates cross-functional collaboration to support the development and review of SOPs and internal circulars.
  • Monitors and reports on publication status, project milestones, and team performance to the department head on a regular basis.
  • Reviews implementation of documentation standards and evaluates manual edits made by the team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Represents the Technical Publications function in governance meetings, addressing documentation-related concerns and providing strategic input.
