Reports To:    Head – Procurement & Supply Chain    Role Level:    

A.    Job Purpose 
Responsible For Overseeing The Purchase Of Technical Equipment For Industrial Operations Within The Engineering Procurement Department Of Air India.
Responsible For Overseeing The Procurement Process Of Engineering Projects From Start To Finish And To Ensure That All The Necessary Equipment And Materials Are Procured In A Timely And Cost-Effective Manner


B.    Key Accountabilities
Strategic Activities 
•    Responsible To Develop, Implement And Drive The Procurement Strategies In Order To Meet Cost Savings Targets.
•    Establish And Maintain Relationships With Suppliers And Subcontractors, Ensuring They Meet The Project’S Quality, Delivery, And Pricing Requirements.
•    Identify Risks From The Ever-Evolving Procurement Environment, Set Up And Implement A Risk Mitigation Plan To Maintain Consistent Procurement Supply Levels.
•    Gather And Analyze Research Material On Markets And Clients' Information For The Sourcing Of Potential Suppliers To Ensure Validity Of Procurement Strategies.
•    Create And Maintain Project Procurement Schedules, Tracking The Delivery Of Equipment And Materials To Ensure That They Arrive On Time And Within Budget.
•    Manage Procurement Risks And Issues, Identifying Potential Challenges And Implementing Strategies To Mitigate Them.
•    Monitor And Report On Procurement Performance, Including Cost Savings, Vendor Performance, And Delivery Schedules.
•    ¬Maintain Accurate And Up-To-Date Procurement Documentation, Including Purchase Orders, Contracts, And Invoices.
•    Adopt Appropriate Supplier Management Methodologies And Procurement Strategies In Purchasing To Secure Better Prices.
•    Perform Regular Performance Review With Suppliers To Drive Continuous Improvements.
•    Ensure Compliance With Company Procurement Policies, Ethical Standards, And Relevant Laws And Regulations.
Team Management 
•    Lead And Collaborate With Project Teams To Ensure That Procurement Activities Align With Project Milestones And Objectives.
•    Support, Nurture And Develop The Team Members’ Skills In Aspect Of Engineering And Technology Innovations.
Any Other Additional Responsibility Could Be Assigned To The Role Holder From Time To Time As A Standalone Project Or Regular Work. The Same Would Be Suitably Represented In The Primary Responsibilities And Agreed Between The Incumbent, Reporting Officer And Hr.

Minimum Education Requirements
•Bachelor'S Degree In Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Or Related Field
•Master’S Degree In Related Field Is Preferrable


Experience
Minimum
•    10-15 Years Of Experience In Procurement And Project Management In An Engineering Environment 
•    Extensive Experience In Procurement Laws And Regulations With The Ability


Desired
•    15+ Years Of Experience In Procurement And Project Management In An Engineering Environment With 8+ Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role
•    Extensive Experience In Procurement Software, Microsoft Office Suite, And Enterprise Resource Planning (Erp) Systems For An Aviation Industry.
