  1. Job Purpose
  • Oversee the accurate and timely payment  of payroll processed by HR team and travel & expense reimbursements within the organization. Also ensure timely and accurate accounting of payroll and reimbursements based on input shared.
  • Ensure payment of various dues of compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws as per information shared by payroll processing team and expense policies while providing excellent service to employees.
  • Coordination with Internal and Statutory audit team for timely resolution of audit queries.
  1. Key Accountabilities

 Strategic Activities   

  • Oversee the payroll and compliance (taxes, labour law) related payments. , .
  • Manage the accurate accounting and reconciliation of payroll transactions in financial records.
  • Review and verify payroll inputs received from HR, including salary changes, bonuses, deductions, and benefits, based on source data shared, to ensure proper payment.
  • Collaborate closely with HR to streamline payroll inputs and maintain the integrity of the payroll system.
  • Prepare payroll-related financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors on payroll accounting and compliance matters.
  • Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payroll processing and accounting.
  • Stay abreast of changes in payroll-related laws and accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.
  • Implement internal controls and procedures to prevent errors and fraud within the payroll function.
  • Provide expertise and support to finance and HR teams regarding payroll-related inquiries and initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the efficiency and accuracy of the expense payment processes.
  • Review and approve employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to the company's travel & expense policy

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Minimum Education requirements

  • Master’s degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent

Experience

Minimum

Desired

  • 7 years of experience in running AP/payroll functions, managing initiatives and programs pertaining to Finance Operations
  • 8+ years of experience with experience in working in teams for finance function
  • Experience in the aviation sector is an added advantage
