Job Description
A. Job Purpose
• To lead and inspire a team of copywriters, bringing a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding to elevate Air India's brand image through compelling copy and strategic content initiatives
B. Key Accountabilities
Creative Functions
• Work closely with marketing and social media team across briefs, brainstorming, workflow, and delivery to deadline
• Create campaign solutions in fast-paced, high energy, deadline-driven environment in sync with the content calendar
• Liaise with other departments and key stakeholders to deliver content/copy work
• Lead Air India’s creative team to develop effective creative campaigns and produce creative work
• Manage copy & content team resources, operations and oversee creative standards for inhouse work
• Produce copy for digital, print, events, SEO, CLM,
• Stay on top of the content, digital and video trends and maintain best practices
• Distill abstract business concepts and business needs into refined, elegant creative solutions
• Responsible for the creative vision and the standard of output across team members who work under them
• Pitch ideas confidently and present creative vision clearly to internal clients, as well as communicate in the same manner to members of the creative team
• Ensure that all the organizations’ creative output/visuals are consistent with the overall brand and follow Brand Idenity
• Evaluate trends, assessing new data, and staying au-courant with the latest marketing techniques
• Assist internal stakeholders in resolving issues by responding to questions in a timely and professional manner
• Create and implement tailored marketing plans based on individual team requirements
• Direct brainstorming meetings and creative sessions
• Shape brand standards and create procedures to ensure all output are brand appropriate
• Develop exceptional and well-crafted copy that meet clients’ requirements (repetition – already above – can combine)
• Supervise the department's daily workflow, assigning project workloads, and monitoring deadlines and budgets (repetition – already above – can combine)
Team Management and Development
• Manage the copy team’s operations and resources, setting high creative standards and fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.
• Mentor and develop team members, providing clear direction and support for their professional growth.
• Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging innovative ideas and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate and prioritize work assignments, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
E. Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education requirements • Bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism, and other relevant fields
• Masters Preferred
Experience Minimum Desired
• A minimum of 8 years’ digital experience, particularly with, but not limited to web, social, and emerging technologies • 10+ years’ digital experience, particularly with, but not limited to web, social, and emerging technologies
• Experience working with top creative/advertising agencies
• Experience in airlines creative/content is an advantage
