  • Responsible for execution of Air India’s payroll functions and ensure pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations 

  • Coordinate with the Lead for the payroll processing operations and administration 

  • Payroll Management 

    • Collaborate with the Payroll & Benefits Lead to ensure timely and unerring process of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions 

    • Maintain extensive knowledge of the payroll functions and responsible for the payroll processing operations 

    • Handle the internal and external audits by providing records and documentation to auditors 

    • Stay au courant with laws, regulations, contracts, policies, procedures, and controls governing payroll operations across the region 

    • Work on the preparation of monthly/quarterly management report with all pertinent payroll data and trends 

    • Coordinate with the payroll team members to ensure that all staff are paid faultlessly, and pays slips, statutory returns and reports are assembled and validated timely 

    • Ensure that any company benefit programs i.e., medical care, pensions, bonuses etc. are managed efficiently and effectively 

    • Identify and recommend updates to the Payroll & Benefits Lead regarding payroll processing software, systems, and procedures 

    • Perform accurate accounting and reporting on all payroll related feeds to finance 

    • Assist Payroll & Benefits Lead in the month end close process including preparation of accruals, reconciliations, and analytics 

    • Act upon resolving and addressing complex payroll issues and inquiries and raise the unresolved ones to the Payroll & Benefits Lead when required 

    Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
