Job Purpose
Lead a team and play a central role in orchestrating and overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Be a strategic thinking individual, with project management expertise and stakeholder management skills to drive results and deliver value to the business.   

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Activities

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional programs and initiatives within the digital domain, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Develop and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and budgets, collaborating with senior leadership, stakeholders, and project teams to define program scope, deliverables, and success criteria, and manage program risks and dependencies.

Establish and maintain program governance structures, including steering committees, working groups, and project management offices (PMOs), to provide oversight, guidance, and decision-making support throughout the program lifecycle.

Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration across multiple teams, departments, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication of program goals, priorities, and progress to stakeholders at all levels.

Monitor program performance, milestones, and deliverables, leveraging project management tools and methodologies to track progress, identify issues and risks, and drive timely resolution and mitigation strategies.

Serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point for senior leadership, providing regular updates on program status, key milestones, risks, and opportunities, and proactively identifying and addressing challenges to ensure program success and stakeholder satisfaction.

Team Management

Lead a team, and mentor or guide them, ensuring alignment of efforts with the overarching objectives to be achieved.
Setting a direction for the team, tracking performance progress and adjusting strategies needed to ensure desired output.
Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork within the team, providing leadership to team members, fostering their growth and development as professionals.
Facilitate building talent and succession pipelines and set the team up for success.
Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader within the organization, to enhance the value proposition of the complex program portfolio.

Skills Required for the role

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of IT systems and software development.

Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile principles and methodologies can facilitate adaptability and responsiveness in managing complex programs with evolving requirements.

Data Analysis: Understanding data analysis techniques and tools can aid in leveraging data insights to drive informed decision-making and optimize program performance.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or project management.

Experience

10+ years of experience
Proven experience in managing IT projects
    
Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of IT systems and software development.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
