Job Description
Position Title : Ops Research Analyst

Reports To : Lead ORA
A. Job Purpose
- Drive strategic optimization initiatives, leveraging operational research methodologies to enhance efficiency, resource allocation, and overall performance in the IOCC.
- Provide predictive decision support to the Day of Operations (DOPs) through advanced analytics, ensuring real-time insights and data-driven decisions for seamless operations leading to and OTP.
B. Key Accountabilities
Strategic Activities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Ops Research team to optimize operational processes.
- Collaborate with other teams to align operational strategies / mitigations to meet overall company objectives.
- Provide recommendations for delays with mitigations to prevent recurrence based on data driven insights through accurate analysis of various data points for the operations function.
- Responsible for sharing detailed analysis for DDRMs, COPs, Washups and Task Force meetings
- Assess various data collection methods, analytics tools, and processes for the operations research team.
- Oversee resource allocation optimization and work closely with the Head of DOPs to ensure optimal utilization through data-driven solutions.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

D. Key Interfaces
- Head of DOPs : Regular communication with Head of DOPs is essential to ensure seamless integration of the Ops Research team's initiatives within the broader goals of the Day of Operations.
- Ops Research Team Members: Regular interaction is crucial for providing guidance, fostering collaboration, and ensuring effective execution of operational research methodologies to enhance day-of-operations efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with teams from different departments such as scheduling, dispatch, to gather and analyze data for comprehensive decision support.
E. Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or its Equivalent. Data Analytics within airline operations would be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum Requirement
2+ years of relevant experience in airline operations, operational research, data analytics or a closely related field.
- Desired
- 5+ years of relevant experience in airline operations, operational research, data analytics or a closely related field.
- Exposure to operational research, with a focus on day-of-operations activities within an airline or similar industry.
