  1. Job Purpose
  • Manage direct tax compliances, including filing of income‑tax returns, tax audits, and related statutory requirements
  • Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing activities from a direct tax perspective, including tax provisions and reconciliations
  • Handle income‑tax assessments, scrutiny notices, reassessment proceedings, and other matters before tax authorities
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and internal stakeholders for assessments, appeals, and litigation matters
  • Review, finalize, and manage responses to notices, queries, and submissions before tax authorities
  • Oversee preparation, filing, and follow‑up of applications for Lower / NIL tax deduction certificates
  • Prepare advisory notes, technical opinions, and recommendations on direct tax matters for internal stakeholders and management
  • Ensure maintenance of robust direct tax data, documentation, and audit trails to support compliance and assessments
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation in direct tax compliance and reporting
  • Perform other responsibilities related to Direct Tax as assigned from time to time
  • Possess strong knowledge of International Taxation, including tax treaty interpretation, cross‑border transactions, and withholding tax provisions

Strong Tax technical skills (including experience in litigation and advisory)

Relationship management skills with ability to manage expectations

Strong research, drafting, advisory skills

  • Work closely with these teams to identify priorities and track progress.

External Interfaces

Ministry/ Tax Authorities

  • Representation before Tax authorities for various tax matters

Consultants

  • Engage into technical discussion with consultants on various transactions
  1. Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement

Chartered Accountant with 6-7 years of experience
