Manager - Procurement
Job Summary:
The Manager – Procurement (Inflight Items) is responsible for overseeing the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management of inflight products, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely availability. This role involves strategic vendor management, contract negotiations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support seamless onboard services for passengers.
Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and timely delivery of inflight products.

Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with airline standards and regulatory requirements.

Contract Negotiations: Lead negotiations for pricing, terms, and service agreements, securing the best value for the airline while maintaining quality standards.

Inventory & Demand Planning: Monitor stock levels, anticipate inflight needs, and coordinate with supply chain teams for efficient replenishment.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all purchased inflight items meet airline quality specifications, safety standards, and passenger expectations.

Budget Control: Manage procurement budgets, track expenditures, and work towards cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.

Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with catering, operations, finance, and inflight services teams to align procurement decisions with business needs.

Market Research: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging products, and innovative solutions to enhance passenger experience and operational efficiency.

Compliance & Documentation: Maintain procurement records, contract agreements, and adhere to all legal, regulatory, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in aviation, hospitality, or inflight services.

Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract administration skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a cost-conscious approach.

Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
