Job Description
A. Job Purpose
• Responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing various events and local sponsorships / activations to enhance Air India's brand visibility and customer engagement. This role focuses on managing relationships with local communities, government entities, and executing events that align with Air India’s commercial objectives.
B. Key Accountabilities
Events & Local Sponsorships Strategy and Execution
• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for events and local activations and sponsorships that enhances brand visibility and engages customers effectively.
• Identify, negotiate, and manage local business relationships and sponsorships that align with Air India's brand values and marketing objectives.
Event Coordination and Oversight
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all logistical aspects of events, including budgeting, vendor management, promotion, and post-event evaluation.
• Ensure all events and sponsorship activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Marketing Campaign Integration
• Seamlessly integrate events and local sponsorships into broader marketing campaigns to maximize reach, impact, and ROI.
• Develop targeted promotional materials and communication strategies to drive attendance and engagement at events.
Performance Tracking and Budget Management
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of events and sponsorships using predefined KPIs such as event attendance, sponsor satisfaction, and ROI.
• Manage budgets for events and sponsorships, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and financial accountability
Cross-functional Collaboration and Leadership
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Marketing, E-commerce, and Loyalty, to align event activations with overall business strategies.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members involved in event planning and sponsorship management.

Internal Interfaces
Ecommerce, Loyalty • Integrate events with digital marketing and loyalty program strategies.
Marketing Department • Collaborate on aligning event strategies with broader marketing campaigns and initiatives
External Interfaces
Local Businesses & Organizations • Develop and maintain relationships to secure event spaces, sponsorships, and promotional opportunities.
Government entities • Ensure compliance with local regulations and secure necessary permits and approvals for events.
E. Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education requirements • Master’s/MBA/PGDM/PGP in Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, or related field
Experience Minimum Desired
• 7-8 years of experience in marketing with experience in managing Events • 8+ years of experience in marketing including event management, planning, organizing, and executing events of varying scales
• Experience in managing local sponsorships and understanding local market dynamics, preferably in the aviation, travel, or hospitality industries
