  1. Job Purpose
  • Specialist Ecom Operations: Fares/Ticketing, Pricing, CFF
  • Provide subject matter expertise wrt Fares/Ticketing, Pricing, Commercial fare Families, Ancillary Pricing for application of correct business rules in Transactional Flows.
  1. Key Accountabilities

 

Fares and Pricing:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and expert in airline fare structures, pricing policy, ancillary pricing for applying business rules on ecommerce transactional flows to ensure consistency across distribution channels.
  • Collaborate with revenue management teams to implement fare products, pricing models on ecommerce channels.
  • Ensure synchronization of fare updates, availability, and inventory for ecommerce channels

Ticketing and Reservation Management:

  • Lead the development, testing, and implementation of ticketing processes, ensuring they align with business rules, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor Transactional flows for accuracy, availability, and adherence to ticketing policies, including seat assignments, special requests, and ticket issuance.

Ancillary Services Management:

  • Manage and optimize the offering of ancillary services such as seat selection, baggage allowance, and in-flight amenities through the e-commerce platform.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure accurate pricing, availability, and presentation of ancillary options to customers during the booking process.
  • Implementation of new ancillaries

 

E-commerce Platform Integration:

  • Collaborate with IT and Vendor development teams to integrate fare calculations, ticketing rules, and reservation processes seamlessly within the e-commerce platform.
  • Provide scenarios for BPT/UAT and terms and conditions for business rules implementation.

Knowledge Management:

  • Provide training and guidance to the e-commerce operations team, ecom servicing team on fare rules, ticketing procedures, and reservation management wrt ecommerce transactions.
  • Document, update and maintain business rules for transactional flows wrt fares, pricing logic, ticketing etc

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed about industry regulations, fare filing requirements, and international pricing standards to ensure compliance in all fare-related activities in close coordination with RM team.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any concerns related to fare advertising and ticketing policies wrt ecommerce flows.

 

 

  1. Skills Required for the role.

International Fares and Pricing, rules of fare construction as per IATA

Advance Reservations and ticketing functions

Ancillary product and pricing

Commercial Fare Families and fare structure is desired

Knowledge of fare management tools used is desired

Detail oriented and high level of accuracy in work

Excellent communication skill to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to be persistent and ensure consistency in work
