Job Purpose:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive AVSEC (Aviation Security) training programs to ensure that Air India's personnel are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold the highest standards of aviation security, in compliance with national and international regulations.
  • Support Head of ASTI by continuously improving training methodologies, updating training materials, and providing expert guidance to trainees, thereby enhancing the overall effectiveness and quality of Air India's aviation security protocols.
  • Organize the security culture at workplace.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive aviation security training courses, in-person and/or virtually, ensuring high-quality instructional support in alignment with Air India's standards.
  • Actively engage in and contribute to departmental and company-wide quality initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of training programs.
  • Evaluate the impact of training sessions by assessing trainee’s progress through written tests, online test (CBT) performance evaluations, and oral assessments, ensuring continuous improvement in instructional methods.
  • Ensure the prompt completion of assigned training sessions, projects, communications, and documentation to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Provide expert input, advice, and recommendations on aviation security matters to support the development and enhancement of training curriculum.
  • Assist in the development of aviation security curricula and coordinate special event training programs as needed, ensuring they meet the latest regulatory requirements.
  • Offer support to administrative staff on aviation security-related training projects and tasks, ensuring smooth operation and execution of training activities.

     

  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and execution of the Instructor Orientation Program, ensuring new instructors are effectively integrated into the training team.

     

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information encountered during the performance of duties, adhering to relevant confidentiality regulations and standards.

     

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments and changes in aviation security regulations and standards, incorporating relevant updates into training materials to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

     

  • Continuously assess the performance and understanding of trainees through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to facilitate their improvement.

     

  • Educate trainees on identifying, predicting, and responding to potential security threats within the aviation environment, emphasizing preventive measures against unlawful interference.

     

  • Highlight the importance of adhering to national and international aviation security regulations and guidelines, fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.

     

  • Assist Head ASTI during the Internal and regulatory audits/inspection.

     

  • Checking and verifying the training equipment and training aids status.

    Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement

  • Graduate from a recognized university

  • 07 years experience in Aviation Security
  • BCAS Certified Avsec Instructor
  • 10+ years of experience in aviation security.
  • 2 years experience as BCAS Avsec Instructor
