JOB PURPOSE

 

  • To ensure the effective management and oversight of security protocols, compliance, and operations across all international stations.
  • To coordinate with international regulators and Security Service Providers, ensuring that security measures meet both local regulations and corporate standards.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Strategic Activities

  • Liaise with regulators & other agencies at foreign stations to understand their security requirements and ensure all operational documentation is compliant.
  • Maintain & Implement SSP, MSP & SOPs) for international stations and assist in obtaining approvals from BCAS and other relevant bodies.

 

Operational Activities

  • Brief Head - Operations on regular basis regarding all affairs related to international operations and its compliance.
  • Manage relationships with international Security Service Providers (SSPs), including evaluation, and contracting processes.
  • Oversee the SSPs’ functions to guarantee compliance with the contractual agreement and the service level expected by the airline. Suggest measures in cost control etc.
  • Support in the reviews of security controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
  • Stay up to date with the latest domestic and international security regulations, trends, and industry developments, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance security capabilities.
  • Participate in security audits and inspections conducted by internal & external authorities including regulatory bodies, addressing any identified gaps or deficiencies and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

 

Team Management

  • Lead the team and provide direction on execution / implementation of tasks by prioritizing functional and organizational goals accordingly.
  • Build a strong and motivated team, ensure the right people are in place to foster positive team spirit and facilitate teamwork across the International Ops Department.
  • Assess the performance of all direct reports, encouraging effective collaboration and hold them accountable to various KPIs/SLAs.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting Manager.

EDUCATIONAL & EXPRERIENCE REQUIREMENT

 

Minimum Education requirements

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in aviation security operations, preferably in international stations.
  • Knowledge of aviation security measures of domestic and international regulatory authorities.
