  1. Job Purpose
  • Responsible for leading and managing a team of instructors who provide all BCAS mandated AVSEC training to pilots, cabin crew, and security staff and Non-Security staff.
  • Oversee the training content development, instructional methods, and evaluation processes for security training sessions to ensure the highest standards of security awareness and compliance with BCAS regulations.
  • Organize the security culture at workplace.
  1. Key Accountabilities
  • Work closely with Air India's Chief Instructor- DGR and Chief Instructor- AVSEC, to ensure effective execution of training and evaluation programs for security training, according to the airline requirements
  • Supervise and mentor all full-time AVSEC, for security training and ensure standardization of all theoretical instruction; leverage digital to be in line with latest standards
  • Develop and implement training programs in compliance with BCAS guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure instructor positions are filled appropriately basis knowledge, skills training and appropriate experience
  • Co-ordinate with the Planning & Analytics team for scheduling, record-keeping
  • Co-ordinate with the Training compliance team and facilities team (for infra needs)
  • Incorporate simulation exercises, practical demonstrations, and case studies to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the delivery of relevant and effective training modules.
  • Ensure preparation and update of training documents like SOPs, Aircraft-specific circulars, etc. Ensure maintenance of all training aids, highlight deficiencies in training standards to Head, Training Academy
  • Co-ordinate with all other cohorts (pilots, cabin crew, security, ground staff) to plan and facilitate BCAS mandated AVSEC trainings
  • Display end to end accountability for all requisite equipment deployed for security training.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Handle the ASTI internal and regulatory audit/Inspection.
  • Ensuring compliance with NCASTP and CASTP.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

  1. Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement

  • Graduate from a recognized university, Graduate or equivalent aviation management;

  • 10+ years of experience in an AVSEC role, in the aviation industry
  • Shall have at least 05 years experience in AVSEC Instructional Practice.

 

  • 15+ years of experience in an AVSEC role in the aviation industry
