Job Description

Job Purpose:
-Ensure the efficient and effective planning of various audits within the aviation organization.
-Responsible for developing comprehensive audit plans, coordinating audit activities, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of audits across different operational areas.


Key Accountabilities: 
-Work closely with the Lead - QMS Auditing to develop a strategic audit planning framework aligned with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements.
-Develop an annual audit plan in coordination with the Lead - QMS Auditing, considering various types of audits, their frequency, and their respective objectives.
-Prepare reports on audit planning activities, including progress updates and resource allocation.
-Define the scope and objectives of each audit type, in collaboration with the audit team and relevant stakeholders.
-Regularly monitor the progress of ongoing audits to ensure adherence to the established timeline and identify potential challenges or delays.
-Maintain comprehensive documentation of audit plans, scoping, and key decisions.
-Create comprehensive audit checklists and templates tailored to each audit type, covering all relevant aspects, and ensuring thorough assessments.
-Review and consider findings from previous audits to identify recurring issues or areas that require particular attention in the current planning cycle.
-Liaise with department heads and operational teams to communicate the audit schedule, objectives, and expectations.
-Collect feedback from auditors and stakeholders to refine the audit planning process.
-Lead teams to analyze historical audit data, industry trends, and emerging issues to enhance the effectiveness of future audits.
-Ensure that the audit plan covers all relevant operational areas, such as stations, airports, offices, corporate functions, safety protocols, etc.
-Establish clear criteria and performance indicators for assessing compliance and process effectiveness.
-Ensure that auditors possess the required competencies and receive necessary training.
-Ensure coordination and follow-up with accreditation agencies like IOSA, ISAGO, IFQP and ISO. Also, single point of contact on behalf of VP-Group QMS to communicate with these agencies.
-Lead the team and provide direction on execution / implementation of tasks by prioritizing functional and organizational goals accordingly.
-Build a strong and motivated team, ensure the right people are in place to foster positive team spirit and facilitate teamwork across the Safety function. 
-Assess the performance of all direct reports, encouraging effective collaboration and hold them accountable to various KPIs/SLAs.


Educational and Experience Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in aviation domain.
-10+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems Auditing/Audit Planning
-Extensive Aviation Expertise
