Chief Manager - Ground Safety and Quality Control
Job Description
To lead the Ground Safety and Quality Control team within the Airport Ops Division, ensuring compliance with aviation standards and continuous improvement of service, operational efficiency, quality and safety. The role involves being overall responsible for Ground Safety and regulatory compliance at all airports, as well as the IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) which involves ensuring compliance with the IATA’s (International Air Transport Association) operational safety standards and requirements. As Nodal Officer and SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for Airport Operations, work with SSQE’s (Safety, Security, Quality and Environment) Flight Safety, QMS (Quality Management System) and other Departments* to meet the Group’s safety objectives, drive the safety agenda and coordinate investigations on safety incidents and issues Identifying, analyzing, and mitigating safety hazards and risks associated with ground operations. To develop and drive a safety culture, by implementing strategies to prevent accidents and injuries on the ground. Collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to execute the same such as Safety Management System (SMS) & Document Management System (DMS) nodal the Day of travel threats and issues impacting customers.Key Accountabilities-Hazard Identification: Identify potential safety hazards associated with ground operations, including but not limited to aircraft handling, ground vehicles, equipment, facilities, and personnel activities. Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and potential consequences of identified hazards. Utilize various methodologies and risk matrix to prioritize risks .Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant aviation safety regulations, standards, and guidelines issued by regulatory authorities such as DGCA, EASA, SAFA & FAA.
