Job Description

  1. Job Purpose
  • Drive improvement in the dispatch team by post-facto analysis, identifying best practices, and flagging deviations from operating standards to ensure operational excellence.
  1. Key Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership in Dispatch Operations:

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance Flight Dispatch operations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and Policies.
  • Conduct post-facto analysis of dispatch processes, identifying deviations from best practices and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in supervision and control of all flights, operational control functions and exercise functional and administrative control.
  • Obtain feedback from pilots on dispatch related issues, and refer to Head DOPs, when required.
  • Participates in the FMC [Fuel management Committee] in Flight Operations to formulate, manage and initiatives to optimize Fuel Usage and Flight Cost in Flight Operations.
  • Participate in Conflict Risk Assessment Zone Committee and provide Flight Dispatch with routing options, keeping suitable mitigations in place.
  • Provide performance insights and recommendations to the Head of DOPs for continuous improvement.

Performance Management and Optimization:

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch efficiency, on-time performance, and safety compliance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize dispatch processes, minimize delays, and enhance operational efficiency.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Coordinate closely with the COE & Dispatch team to share insights, best practices, and lessons learned from post-facto analysis of dispatch operations.
  • Collaborate with external partners, such as regulatory authorities and industry organizations, to stay updated on aviation regulations and industry standards impacting dispatch operations.

Leadership and Talent Development:

  • Provide effective leadership and mentorship to the COE Dispatch team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Identify talent gaps and training needs within the team, developing and implementing training programs to enhance skills and capabilities.
  • Encourage cross-functional collaboration and knowledge-sharing among team members to foster a high-performance culture within the COE Dispatch department.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
