Chief Manager - B2B Marketing and Events
A. Job Purpose
Leads global B2B marketing strategies & initiatives, overseeing international event management, and driving business growth through effective trade partner relations & activation for both passenger and cargo business. Build a world class event execution capability and center of excellence. Manage and execute local and regional sponsorships, trade merchandise and be a partner for sales.
B. Key Accountabilities
Strategic B2B Marketing
• Be the partner for sales in helping achieve sales targets
• Develop and execute comprehensive B2B marketing strategies that enhance relationships with global business clients and drive revenue growth.
• Driving preference for Air India brand among trade partners; Set up systems to drive regular communication with business stakeholders and activate through innovative campaigns. Support sales team’s efforts in ensuring the robustness of the indirect channel
Events Centre of Excellence
• Oversee the planning and execution of international events, including trade shows, conferences, and private events, ensuring alignment with Air India’s strategic goals.
Partner and Vendor Management
• Forge strong relationships with global partners, including international agencies, event organizers, and B2B clients, to support market penetration and revenue objectives.
• Oversee contract negotiations and manage collaborations with external entities to maximize value from partnerships and event participations.
Performance Analysis and Reporting
• Establish KPIs and monitor performance across all B2B marketing and event activities to ensure returns on investment and strategic goal attainment.
• Oversee B2B marketing intervention and event outcomes; benchmark competitor activities
Team Leadership and Development
• Lead and mentor a team dedicated to B2B marketing and event management
• Encourage professional growth and skills development to foster a high-performing team capable of operating in a dynamic international market.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Agencies/partnerships • Engage with global industry leaders, event organizers, and B2B clients to enhance the company’s market presence and forge productive alliances
E. Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education requirements • Masters/MBA/PGDM/PGP/PG degree, preferably in Marketing or International Business
Experience Minimum Desired
• 10+ years’ experience in Marketing strategy, preferably with 5+ years in leading B2B, events, and international markets • 15+ years’ experience in Marketing strategy, preferably with 5+ years in leading B2B, events, and international markets, ideally within the aviation or related sectors.
• Demonstrated success in leading international teams and executing large-scale events.
