Reports To: Manager – Direct Tax
Role Level: CXO-4
Job Purpose
Assist in completion of tax audit, transfer pricing, etc.
Assist in month-end closing activities.
Ensure timely and accurate deposit of taxes, including withholding tax.
Assist in filing of annual income tax returns and withholding tax returns.
Assist in data collation and preparation of advance tax workings.
Assist in maintaining tax-related data for all direct tax compliances.
Assist in collating data for assessments and notices received from tax authorities.
Assist in data collation for obtaining Lower/NIL tax deduction certificates.
Prepare updated reports on outstanding tax issues and demand presentations.
Assist in budget analysis and evaluate impact on the group; provide recommendations on direct tax provisions.
Assist in timely receipt of tax refunds from authorities.
Ensure availability of data for assessments, appeals, transfer pricing assessments, and DRP proceedings.
Perform other responsibilities related to direct taxation as required.
Skills Required for the Role
Strong understanding of Direct Tax laws and compliance (including tax treaties).
Experience in tax litigation.
Good drafting and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong research, drafting, and management skills.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement
Chartered Accountant with 2–5 years of experience.
