Associate Manager - Leasing & Financing
Job Description
Job Purpose
- Drive financial control and transparency in lease agreements and maintenance activities, safeguarding the company's fiscal interests through meticulous analysis, compliance adherence, and proactive risk management.
- Contribute to the organization's financial success by strategically managing lease-related costs, conducting insightful financial analyses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency within the Lease Management function.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform monthly financial close process, prepare monthly activities including journal entries related to lease expenses and accruals for the global lease portfolio for aircraft, property, engine etc. Maintain a comprehensive repository of all lease agreements, tracking key terms, conditions, and financial obligations in the SAP S4HANA REFX Module Facilitate effective communication with lessors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and ensure smooth execution of lease-related activities.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis related to lease terms, costs, and obligations, providing valuable insights for decision-making. Assist with the set-up of all new leases and validation of lease data and attributes to ensure the correct accounting of all lease, MR/SR, redelivery/EOL Costs.
- Record monthly lease journal entries and completing account reconciliations.
- Automation project for Lease Maintenance.
- Monitor and assess financial performance against lease agreements, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions when necessary
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate lease-related costs seamlessly into the overall budgeting and forecasting framework.
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to support budgetary planning and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
Internal Interfaces
- Engage with various departments, including Legal, Compliance, and Operations, to ensure lease agreement compliance, mitigate legal risks, and align lease management activities with operational goals.
- Foster collaborative relationships streamline processes and address cross-functional concerns.
External Interfaces
Act as the primary liaison between the organization and lessors, maintaining open lines of communication to negotiate favorable lease terms, address inquiries, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education requirements
- Chartered Accountant professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent
Experience
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in lease management, financial accounting, or related field.
- Extensive experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting related to lease management
