Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Assist in managing Air India's international payroll function to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of employee pay across multiple countries.
  • Support the coordination efforts with third-party vendors worldwide for payroll processing and statutory compliance activities related to payroll.

Key Accountabilities

International Payroll Management

  • Assist in processing multi-country payrolls accurately and on time under the guidance of the Lead - International Payroll.
  • Collaborate with the Agencies/GSAs/Vendors to ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Support in reconciling payroll data and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist in responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, escalating complex issues to the Lead - International Payroll as needed.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentations in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing payroll reports and analysis as required by Lead - International Payroll or other stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on international payroll regulations and best practices, seeking guidance from the Lead - International Payroll as necessary.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll processes and accurate reporting.
  • Provide backup support to other members of the payroll team during peak periods or absences.
  • Undertake training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in international payroll processes.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to accommodate different time zones when necessary (i.e. during payroll processing and compliance period, local vendor meetings etc.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance in payroll processing and compliances.

Skills Required for the role

  • Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, SuccessFactors, Workday).

Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Education requirements - MBA/Post graduation diploma in Finance/Human Resource Management

Experience

Minimum

  • 5-8 years of experience in data management, analysis in HR; managing initiatives and programs pertaining to International Payroll Management

Desired

  • 8-10 years of experience in analytics, data management with focus on International Payroll Management
  • Experience in the aviation sector is an added advantage
