Associate Manager - Interline and Trucking

Job Purpose

  • To manage all aspects of interline and trucking operations for Air India’s cargo division, ensuring efficient coordination and optimal execution of cargo transport activities.
  • To enhance partnership relations and operational compliance, driving effective and profitable interline and trucking strategies

Key Accountabilities

Interline Partnership Management

  • Develop and maintain robust relationships with interline partners, including other airlines and logistics providers. Negotiate and establish service level agreements, operational procedures, and performance metrics.

Trucking Operations Oversight

  • Oversee the planning and execution of trucking operations for cargo transport, ensuring alignment with cargo volumes, customer demands, and network schedules. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with trucking service providers.

Compliance and Standards Enforcement

  • Ensure all trucking and interline operations adhere to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and customs regulations.

Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators for interline and trucking operations, including on-time performance, cargo handling accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. Prepare regular reports for management review.

  1. Educational and Experience Requirements

 

Minimum Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Desired

  • 3-5 years of experience in interline partnerships management and trucking operations within the airline or logistics industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing interline and trucking operations, demonstrating successful coordination and strategic management.
