  1. Job Purpose
  • Manage and oversee regulatory compliance and other support functions within the Financial Planning & Analysis department of Air India.
  • Pivotal in providing financial support and analysis for regulatory compliance and various other business functions. Reporting to the Lead - Business Partner, the Manager will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and decision support for regulatory matters and other cross-functional initiatives.
  1. Key Accountabilities

Functional Activities

  • Manage and coordinate regulatory compliance activities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights necessary for financial planning and analysis.
  • Act as the financial business partner to regulatory affairs teams and other specified functions.
  • Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for regulatory functions and other designated areas.
  • Conduct regular reviews and analysis to identify variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide expertise in interpreting and applying regulatory guidelines to support decision-making processes.
  • Analyze financial data to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning activities.
  • Liaise with external regulatory bodies and represent the organization during audits and inspections.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and update internal stakeholders accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the Business Partner department, focusing on efficiency and accuracy in financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Drive the implementation of improvements to enhance overall financial processes.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

  • Represent Air India during regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring a smooth and compliant process.
  1. Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Education requirements

  • CA / CFA with professional experience.
  • Masters in business administration (MBA) is considered advantageous
