  1. Job Purpose

 

  • Responsible for crafting engaging and compelling copy  & content that effectively communicates the Air India’s messaging, promotes products or services, and drives audience engagement across various marketing channels.

 

 
   

 

  1. Key Accountabilities

 

Copy Development and Execution

  • Create and edit original copy that aligns with the company's needs and deadlines, ensuring all content is accurate, well-researched, and compelling.
  • Develop content across multiple platforms, including websites, email campaigns, social media, video scripts, digital and print ads, ensuring consistency with the brand’s voice

Research and Collaboration

  • Conduct thorough research to understand the product, target audience, and competitive landscape to support content development.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure that copy aligns with overall marketing strategies and campaign goals.

Quality Control and SEO Enhancement

  • Proofread and edit all copy before publication to ensure error-free content that adheres to the company’s style guidelines.
  • Apply SEO best practices in writing to maximize reach and improve search engine rankings.

Strategic Contribution and Feedback Implementation

  • Use data-driven insights to inform copy decisions and improve content performance metrics such as conversion rates and time on page.
  • Respond to feedback from stakeholders and make necessary adjustments to copy to better meet business objectives.

 

 

 
   
 

 

 

 

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

 

  1. Skills/Qualities Required

 

Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce creative and error-free content

Strong understanding of SEO principles and social media writing nuances, including the effective use of hashtags, emojis, and acronyms

Ability to work collaboratively across departments to create cohesive and strategic content

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with content management systems and analytics software

Internal Interfaces

Marketing, PR, Business Divisions, Social Media Teams

  • Work closely with the Marketing and PR teams to develop marketing materials and ensure consistency in messaging across all platforms

 

  1.   Educational and Experience Requirements

 

Minimum Education requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field

Desired

  • At least 4 years of agency or in-house copywriting experience is required
  • 6+ years, Demonstrated success in managing a business social media presence
