Associate Manager – Cargo Pricing and Revenue Management
A. Job Purpose
• To contribute to the development and implementation of network planning and revenue management strategies that maximize profitability across Air India's cargo routes.
• To support the continuous evaluation and optimization of Air India’s cargo network to align with market demands and operational capabilities.
B. Key Accountabilities
Network Strategy Development
• Assist in designing and developing cargo network strategies that ensure efficient operations and maximize revenue generation.
Market and Competitor Analysis
• Analyze external market demand, assess competitor offerings, and identify potential new markets and routes to enhance the competitive network planning strategy.
Revenue Optimization
• Work closely with the Pricing & Revenue Management team to adjust existing routes, frequencies, and volumes based on analytical findings and market trends.
Performance Monitoring
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the profitability of existing routes, implementing necessary improvements and reporting on key performance indicators.
Forecasting and Planning
• Support the creation of tools for forecasting financial potential and growth opportunities on new routes, contributing to strategic network planning discussions.

Finance and Analytics • Interface to ensure financial targets are met and data-driven strategies are implemented effectively.
External Interfaces
Freight Forwarders and Logistics Providers • Coordinate to understand market needs and enhance service offerings.
Regulatory Bodies • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations affecting cargo pricing and network planning.
E. Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
Experience Minimum Desired
• 3-5 years of experience in cargo operations, pricing, or revenue management within the international air cargo industry. • 5+ years of experience with a proven track record in strategic network planning and revenue management.
