Job Title - Associate Manager-Cargo Ground Contracts

Job Purpose

  1. The Air Cargo Ground Handling Contracts and Performance Associate Manager is responsible for developing, negotiating, and managing contracts with ground & Cargo warehouse handling service providers to ensure the efficient and effective handling of air cargo.
  2. This role involves monitoring and improving the performance of ground handling services to meet operational, financial, and safety objectives.
  3. Handling cost monitoring and control.

Key Accountabilities

Contract Management:

  • Develop and negotiate contracts with ground handling service providers.
  • Ensure that contracts align with company objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Review and update contracts as necessary to address changing business needs.
  • Strictly abide by DOA on contact management.
  • Approved business case is submitted to Procurement for commercial negotiation and release of NFA.
  • Review of SGHA on services and ensuring coverage as per business requirement and regulatory guidelines.
  • Finalization of SLA in close coordination with business and service provider.
  • Submission of all required input in ICERTIS or any system assigned for contract processing.
  • Once the contact is signed, copy is shared with approved stakeholders for record.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for ground handling services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of ground handling partners against established KPIs.
  • Implement performance improvement initiatives and corrective actions as needed.

Relationship Management:

  • Foster strong relationships with Cargo warehouse handling partners, ground handling service providers and AOD team.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as operations, logistics, and finance teams, to address issues and optimize processes.

Cost Management:

  • Monitor and control costs associated with ground handling services.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality or safety.
  • Random verification of Cargo warehouse handling service provider against contact, to identify the compliance level.
  • Any abnormality or difference need to be briefed to reporting manager and taking necessary steps for the prevention of error.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed about aviation regulations and industry best practices related to air cargo ground handling.
  • Ensure that ground handling operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Ensure the necessary training/ Regulatory compliance for self and reporting team members.

 Emergency Response and Contingency Planning:

  • Develop and implement contingency plans for unexpected events or disruptions in Cargo & ground handling services.
  • Coordinate with relevant parties to ensure a swift and effective response to emergencies.
