A. Job Purpose
• To provide comprehensive support and coordination for international cargo sales activities, ensuring smooth operations and effective execution of sales strategies.
• To enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the International PoS Cargo Sales team by managing communications, preparing sales documents, and facilitating customer interactions.
B. Key Accountabilities
Sales Support and Coordination
• Assist the Head of International PoS Cargo Sales by generating leads, prospecting potential customers, preparing sales presentations, and closing sales.
Customer Interaction and Relationship Management
• Respond to international customer inquiries promptly, address needs and concerns, and maintain high standards of customer service.
Document and Process Management
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate preparation of shipping documents and related paperwork necessary for international transactions.
Market Analysis and Strategy Support
• Conduct market research and stay updated on global market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to assist in developing strategic sales initiatives.
Event Participation and Representation
• Participate in international industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to represent Air India and promote its cargo services.

Head - International PoS Cargo Sales • Strategic Alignment: Report directly to and regularly update on sales activities, challenges, and achievements to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Operational Coordination: Collaborate closely on implementing sales strategies, sharing market insights, and optimizing sales processes.
Cargo Operations • Operational Support for Sales: Ensure that cargo operations are aligned with sales commitments and customer expectations, facilitating smooth execution of sales agreements.
• Feedback and Adjustments: Receive feedback on operational challenges impacting sales and coordinate adjustments to enhance service delivery.
Marketing and Product Development • Campaign Coordination: Work together to develop and implement marketing strategies that promote international cargo services to new and existing markets.
• Product Input and Development: Provide input from sales perspectives to help tailor cargo products and services to meet market demands and customer needs.
External Interfaces
International Clients and Partners • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with key international clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
• Negotiations and Contracts: Engage in negotiations and contract discussions with clients and partners to secure profitable and sustainable agreements.
Industry Stakeholders • Industry Representation: Represent Air India at international cargo forums, conferences, and trade shows, enhancing the airline's network and industry presence.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to international trade regulations and standards by staying updated on changes and collaborating with industry experts.
E. Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience Minimum Desired
• 5-7 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in sales coordination, preferably within the aviation or cargo industry. • 10+ years’ experience in the aviation industry with at least 5+ years in airport and/or cargo operations, particularly in an international context.
