  1. Job Purpose

The Frontend Lead is responsible for leading the architecture, development, and optimization of complex, user-facing applications. Ensures scalable, high-performing UI systems while driving engineering excellence and AI-enabled development.

  1.  Key Accountabilities

Strategic Activities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end architectural design of scalable, modular, and high‑performing frontend systems, ensuring they meet enterprise standards and long‑term product vision.
  • Define and maintain the UI architecture roadmap including component library governance, design system evolution, accessibility guidelines, and performance benchmarks (Lighthouse, Web Vitals).
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, and Backend teams to translate business goals into technical solutions, ensuring feasibility, performance, and future extensibility.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for frontend development—covering coding standards, component modeling, state management patterns, testing frameworks, and security practices.
  • Drive the implementation of Micro Frontend architecture and frontend‑cloud integration patterns to improve scalability, deployment efficiency, and team autonomy.
  • Evaluate, introduce, and adopt modern frameworks, libraries, and tooling (Next.js, React Server Components, bundlers, testing suites, performance tools) to maintain a progressive engineering ecosystem.
  • Lead optimization initiatives across the application—reducing load times, improving rendering performance, strengthening caching strategies, and enhancing user experience quality.
  • Oversee DevOps alignment for frontend delivery, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, static analysis, and monitoring dashboards.
  • Champion AI‑augmented development, enabling engineers to leverage GitHub Copilot, prompt‑based coding, test generation, and agentic automation for higher velocity and quality.
  • Conduct architectural reviews, technical audits, and performance deep dives to identify risks, technical debt, and future improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Cloud, Security, and QA teams to ensure the frontend stack aligns with enterprise‑wide standards for security hardening, compliance, observability, and deployment readiness.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging UI/UX technologies, and standards—evaluating their applicability and integrating them into engineering strategy where beneficial.

Team Management

  • Help the developer team members to understand the technical aspects of the project in alignment with teams Lead and other stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant innovations into the company's technical strategy.
  • Monitor and improve team performance metrics such as bug count, severity distribution, and task ownership.
  • Ensure proactive communication of availability and task status.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Proficient in Node.js with TypeScript, with hands-on experience in MongoDB and PostgreSQL. Familiarity with Python is a plus.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services.

Demonstrated expertise in GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted code generation.

Experience with Agentic AI systems and Large Language Models (LLMs).

 

 

D. Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or project management.

  • Proven experience in managing IT projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of IT systems and software development.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
