Job Description
A. Job Purpose
• To assist in the coordination and execution of cargo operations activities across multiple regions, ensuring they adhere to Air India’s standards for safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• To support the implementation of operational strategies and processes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of regional cargo handling and logistics.
B. Key Accountabilities
Operational Coordination
• Support in planning and coordinating cargo shipments, optimizing routing, capacity allocation, and equipment utilization.
• Work on improvement of key performance indicators like FAB, Utilizations
Documentation and Compliance
• Assist in preparing and verifying accurate cargo documentation, ensuring compliance with international and domestic regulations. Address any operational discrepancies and ensure adherence to customs requirements.
Safety and Security
• Help maintain strict safety protocols and security regulations, including hazardous materials handling procedures. Monitor and report any safety or security incidents.
Customer Service Support
• Collaborate with customer service representatives to address inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
Process Optimization
• Identify opportunities to optimize cargo operations, implement best practices, and reduce costs, contributing to overall operational improvements.

External Interfaces
Freight Forwarders and Customs Authorities • Coordinate logistics and compliance aspects of cargo shipments.
Regulatory Authorities • Ensure operations comply with regulatory standards and procedures.
E. Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
Minimum Requirement Desired
Experience • 7 years of experience in cargo operations, logistics, or transportation, preferably with some exposure to international cargo handling. • 10+ years of experience in the aviation industry, with a focus on cargo operations and customer service.
