Hangar Coordinator (CXO-5)

  1. Job Purpose
  • To maintain & provide safe and serviceable ground support vehicles & equipment required for smooth operation of Air India Hangar
  • Responsible for maintaining, liaison & coordinate with various stakeholders, upkeep of all ground support equipment including servicing of aircraft jacks, Dockings trestles & platforms, Pneumatic compressor etc.
  1. Key Accountabilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Maintaining Air India owned GSE (Ground Support Equipment) & GSV (Ground Support Vehicle) in serviceable condition and records maintained for the same.
  2. The Daily Inspection of all GSE & GSV carried out as per check list and the defects rectified.
  3. Timely replacement of calibrated gauges in GSE before due date and records maintained for the same.
  4. The scheduled maintenance of GSV & GSE carried out as per the specified intervals & the records are maintained.
  5. Maintain inventory of spares that are commonly used for the repair and maintenance of GSE & GSV and raise Purchase requisition accordingly.
  6. Forwarding of vendors invoices for payment after proper verification.

Mechanical Skill

Heavy vehicle Driving skill (preferable)

Electrical Skill

Familiar with the Electrical system of Hangar & GSEs

Management of manpower

Preferable

GSEs & GSVs maintenance

Familiar with the maintenance of GSEs & GSVs

 

  1. Key Performance Indicators

Maintenance of AIR INDIA owned GSE & GSVs.

Maintain inventory of spares that are commonly used for the repair and maintenance of GSEs & GSVs.

Co-ordination with authorized service station for the schedule maintenance of Ground Support vehicles & Equipment

Coordination with vendors, OEMs etc.

Maintain documents and records pertaining to GSE / GSV as per DGCA requirement

Allocation of jobs (identified during the daily inspection) to the technicians/ painters/ helpers accordingly

Plan adequate Ground Support as per operational requirements with consistent focus on cost controls and revenue generation

Conduct periodic compliance audits and ensure systemic operational deficiencies are identified, analyzed, documented and rectified

GSD budget preparation and manage the operations within the approved budget

G. Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Education requirements

  • Graduate / Diploma in any category
