Job Purpose

Responsible for coordinating and executing various operational tasks related to cargo handling and logistics, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service

Key Accountabilities
Functional Activities

Provide outstanding customer service to cargo customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
-
Collaborate with internal departments, freight forwarders, and ground handling agents to plan and coordinate cargo shipments
-
Determine optimal routing, capacity allocation, and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
-
Prepare and verify accurate cargo documentation, including airway bills, customs forms, and export/import documentation
-
Ensure compliance with international and domestic regulations, customs requirements, and security protocols
-
Identify and resolve operational issues and discrepancies related to cargo handling, transportation, and documentation
-
Collaborate with customer service representatives to address customer inquiries, requests, and complaints related to cargo operations
-
Continuously identify opportunities to optimize cargo operations processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency
-
Implement and maintain best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and performance metrics to enhance operational performance
-
Adhere to safety protocols, security regulations, and hazardous materials handling procedures to ensure a safe working environment; Monitor and report any safety or security incidents promptly

Coordinate with other departments, such as the ground handling team and customs authorities, to facilitate efficient cargo operations
-
Monitor and maintain inventory of cargo supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or damages
-
Coordinate with various internal departments, including operations and logistics, to ensure smooth cargo handling, booking, and delivery
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
