  1. Job Purpose

 

  • Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Front-Line Stores (FLS), fostering efficient and timely management of inventory, receipt of goods, and dispatch to various departments; by recording the stock levels, and implementing inventory control measures.
 
   
 

 

  1. Functional Activities

    • Maintain adequate stock levels of fast-moving goods to support the organization's operational needs.
    • Record the receipt of incoming goods, verification of quantities and quality, and timely dispatch of goods to respective departments or aircraft.
    • Implement inventory control measures, including stock rotation, first-in-first-out (FIFO) method, and shelf-life monitoring to minimize wastage and obsolescence.
    • Forecast and suggest demand for fast-moving goods and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
    • Assist in organizing the front-line stores for efficient space utilization and easy access to goods.
    • Ensure that all goods received meet quality standards and conduct regular quality checks of stored items.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock transactions, receipts, and issuances using appropriate inventory management software.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, aviation standards, and company policies related to stores management.
    • Generate regular reports on stock levels, stock movement, and inventory performance for management review.

     

     

     

     

     
       

    Key Accountabilities

 

 

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Inventory Management

  • No. of times fast-moving goods are sold or used within a specific period (Inventory Turnover Ratio)
  • Accuracy of physical stock counts, when compared to recorded inventory levels.
  • Rate of stock-outs for fast-moving goods
  • Inventory holding and carrying costs during a month/quarter/etc.

Customer Service and Fulfillment

  • Percentage of customer orders fulfilled from stock on hand.
  • Timeliness of dispatching goods to various departments or aircraft

Operational Efficiency

  • Level of adherence to standard operating procedures

  • Collaborate with functional team heads, including supply chain, program management, and quality assurance to ensure that project goals are met

External Interfaces

 

  • Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and other service providers

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Educational and Experience Requirements

 

Minimum Education requirements

  • BBA/BCA/BBM/B. Com/BA/Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in stores management, inventory control, or warehouse operations, with a focus on fast-moving goods; in an established setup
  • 3+ years of experience in stores management, inventory control, or warehouse operations
  • Experience in aviation industry is an added advantage
