Security Officer
Job Description
A. Job Purpose
Ensuring the safety and security of premises maintaining a vigilant presence, enforcing security
protocols, and responding promptly to incident
B. Key Accountabilities
Functional Activities
Patrol and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized access and ensure a secure environment
Enforce access control measures, including identification verification and visitor management
Conduct regular inspections of security systems, such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems, to
ensure their proper functioning
Report any security breaches, suspicious activities, or safety hazards to the appropriate
authorities
Maintain order and manage crowds during peak periods, ensuring a smooth flow of passengers,
staff, and visitors
Assist in queue management at entry and exit points, ticket counters, security checkpoints, and
other designated areas
Conduct security screening of individuals, baggage, and cargo in accordance with established
protocols and procedures
Operate screening equipment, such as metal detectors and X-ray machines, to detect prohibited
items or potential threats
Attend the Airport Security meetings and any other meeting related to civil aviation security at
respective stations
Follow emergency response protocols, such as evacuation procedures, fire safety
measures, and first aid protocols.
Coordinate with emergency services, such as firefighters or paramedics, when
required.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents, accidents, or any unusual
occurrences.
Prepare incident reports, logbooks, and other documentation in a timely and accurate
manner.
Monitor and report any breaches or violations of security policies and procedures.
Follow safety protocols to minimize risks and hazards within the premises.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to
time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented
in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and

E. Key Interfaces
Internal Interfaces
Collaborate with security personnel and law enforcement agencies to handle any
identified threats or suspicious items.
External Interfaces
Coordinate with emergency services, such as firefighters or paramedics, when
required.
F. Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education
requirements
High-School/Diploma/Equivalent in Security Administration/Law
enforcement, or any other related field
Experience
Minimum
1-2 years of experience in
security/law enforcement, in an
established setup
Desired
• 3+ years of managing security
administration
• Aviation experience is an
added advantage
