Ensure smooth functioning of the Cabin Maintenance Department to achieve the highest standards of aircraft cabin interior maintenance while meeting all the applicable regulatory requirements. 

Roles and Responsibilities

· Management and administration of the Cabin department to achieve efficient operation and monitoring of the activities under his control.

· Ensure appropriate environment and adequate facilities, tools & equipment, maintenance data, spares, material, and qualified manpower is available to undertake Cabin maintenance on Air India fleet.

· Ensure Cabin maintenance personnel have acquired appropriate training including continuation training.

· Review of the changes in the regulations periodically and incorporate the changes in Cabin department.

· Ensure all maintenance and defect rectification, in the Cabin maintenance are carried out in accordance with the standards specified in applicable AMM / OEM documents and are in compliance with all applicable DGCA/ regulatory requirements.

· Responsible for any corrective action resulting from the quality compliance monitoring.

· Ensure proper coordination with other Departments such as MCC, Inflight Department, Cabin Appearance, Planning Department, Logistics Department and various vendors to achieve highest cabin standards.

· Identify cabin parts for local manufacture subject to regulatory requirements.

· Liaison with Quality, Planning, Logistics and Vendors for local manufacture

Ensure passenger grievances are properly addressed.

· Perform routine survey on all Air India aircraft fleet to capture and identify deficiencies and plan the necessary rectification actions.

· Ensures only approved parts/ materials/tools/ equipment having proper documents, are used on aircraft during maintenance activities.

Team Management

· Responsible for conducting competency assessment and annual appraisals of all Line Maintenance staff to assist them in improving their performance.

· Support, nurture and develop the team members’ skills.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.15 years of Hands-on Cabin Maintenance Experience on Transport Category aircraft in a scheduled airline 

· Ensure appropriate CRS is issued after satisfactory completion of all maintenance during day−to−day operation.
