Long Description
- To oversee and manage all Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities within the organization, ensuring technical supervision, compliance with NAS410/EN4179 standards, and adherence to regulatory and company requirements. The role is responsible for the qualification and certification of NDT personnel, development and maintenance of NDT procedures, and ensuring high-quality NDT operations to support aircraft maintenance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide technical supervision of NDT activities, reporting to the Accountable Manager and Chief Manager - Workshop Operations.
- Act as the company’s designated Nominated Level 3 for NDT qualification and certification processes, as appointed in writing by management.
- Ensure compliance with NAS410/EN4179 standards, maintaining thorough knowledge of written instructions, codes, specifications, standards, materials, components, product technologies, and NDT methods/techniques used by the company.
- Develop and maintain the organization’s written practice for NDT personnel training and qualification, obtaining approval from the AVP Quality.
Long Description
- Prepare and update NDT manuals, procedures, and techniques to meet regulatory, NAS410/EN4179, and applicable standards, securing AVP Quality approval.
- Conduct annual reviews of the organization’s written practice and NDT manuals/procedures to reflect changes in regulations, standards, and organizational needs.
- Facilitate regular independent technical audits (system and product) to ensure inspection standards and compliance with the company’s quality management system.
- Ensure NDT personnel are qualified and certified per NAS410/EN4179 requirements.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
Long Description
- 10+2 (PCM) or Equivalent
- B.Sc / BE / B.Tech / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Avionics) or equivalent.Certified as NDT Level 3 in one or more methods per NAS410/EN4179.
- 5-7 years of experience in NDT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or Level 3 role.
- Thorough knowledge of NDT methods, materials, and aviation industry standards
