Long Description
- Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of repair materials, equipment, and services necessary to maintain operational efficiency and meet organizational repair needs.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and vendor management processes specifically tailored to repair requirements, aiming to optimize quality, cost-effectiveness, and supplier reliability while adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
Supervision and Team Management
- Monitor and oversee Repair Associates, ensuring adherence to established processes and targets.
- Coach Repair staff in their professional development and implementation of initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify and facilitate training opportunities to enhance staff skills and performance standards.
Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management
- Identify and evaluate new sources for repair materials, negotiating strategic agreements to optimize market competitiveness.
- Track and manage vendor performance, working collaboratively to improve turnaround times and service levels.
- Manage repair order cycles, ensuring timely completion within pre-agreed turnaround times and cost parameters.
- Analyse shop finding report.
- Negotiate & Approve repair quote.
Long Description
Cost Control and Budget Management
- Track monthly expenditures categorically, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Maintain and manage a multi-million-dollar budget, implementing strategies to achieve cost reductions while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Seek and recommend cost improvement opportunities through process optimization and vendor negotiations.
Process Optimization and Efficiency Initiatives
- Develop and implement recovery processes to ensure tactical and strategic recovery in repair operations.
- Implement MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supply chain efficiency initiatives to streamline procurement processes and reduce lead times.
- Manage interface with in-house repair shops to optimize routing of unserviceable components for in-house repairs.
Performance Metrics and Reporting
- Develop performance metrics for the repair department and staff, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) against supply chain targets.
- Report on staff and process KPI performance data, implementing corrective actions as necessary to meet targets.
- Develop and measure internal customer service levels, ensuring timely and effective response to operational requirements.
Long Description
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety standards and regulatory requirements governing repair operations.
- Work with Quality Assurance (QA) to maintain supplier approval register for all aviation sub-contract repairs.
- Manage warranty interface for timely processing of orders and claims, ensuring compliance with airworthiness authority regulations.
Continuous Improvement and Training
- Identify and initiate internal and external training opportunities to enhance staff knowledge, career development, and performance standards.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the repair procurement function.
- Respond to operational requirements by monitoring and expediting processes and repairs as necessary.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
Long Description
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, logistics, operations, supply chain management, or related field.
- Master’s degree in related field is preferrable6-7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields, preferably with a focus on repair materials and services procurement
