Job Description | Administrative Officer, AME School (CAR 147) 

Location AME School – Bangalore 
Role - Various Roles in Administration 
Reporting 
Structure 
• Reports to Head – AME, Air India Aviation Academy 
Department 
Objective 
• Develop effective examination processes and maintain the same to 
ensure assessment of competence development of the students. 

Key responsibilities 
• Develop and manage the AME School operations, policies, 
procedures, and standards in accordance with the best-in-class 
standards. 
• Manage and lead a team of instructors, administrators, and support 
staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance 
management. 
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those 
of DGCA and other relevant agencies. 
• Develop and manage the budget, including identifying cost-saving 
opportunities and optimizing resource allocation. 
• Define, monitor and analyze key performance metrics, identifying 
trends and implementing corrective actions as necessary. 
• Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and technological 
advances related to aircraft maintenance, engineering and 
regulatory compliance and implement those for the school. 
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external 
stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, training vendors, and 
industry associations. 
• Provide regular reports and updates to the senior management 
team on the performance of the AME school. 
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the adoption of 
new technologies, processes, and training programs. 
• Liaise with other department / divisions to ensure effective practical 
exposure and planned OJT programs for the students. 
• Develop and plan the competence development of the faculty. 
• Supports Training Manager, Quality Manager and Examination 
Manager to perform their duties in most efficient manner. 
• Encourage use of Technology and Innovations to improve the 
processes for effective competence buildup within the staff and the 
students. 
• Plan the marketing strategy for the admissions. 
• Define the admission process of the AME school. 
• Plan and execute the admission process in the AME School. 
• Other functions as per applicable CAR and the organizational 
requirements. 

Preferred Profiles 
Desired Experience 
• Experience in Senior training operations/airline 
operations/management roles with leading Indian/Global airlines. 
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations and examination 
standards, including those related to engineer instruction and 
training. 
• Experience in Examination development, instructional design, and 
Experience with world class AME schools. 
• Experience in conducting Training Need Analysis for students to 
identify and develop assessments to organizations requirements in 
addition to the regulatory compliances. 

Skills 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to 
lead and motivate the team, industry partners, and regulatory 
authorities. 
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and innovate, with a 
strong track record of driving results Strong analytical and problem
solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions 

Desired Qualification 
• Degree / Diploma in any field. 
• Experience in administrative work
